CCM was born in 1899 as the Canadian Cycle and Motor company. In the early 1900s the company started turning scrap bicycle steel into skate blades. A few years later, “Bad Joe” Hall challenged legendary bootmaker George Tackaberry to make him the best skate in the game. The rest is history.
